Why the Grand Opening Still Matters

"He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
Philippians 1:6
On November 16, ShoutChurch celebrated its grand opening, and that day still lives in our hearts with deep gratitude. It was more than a public event. It was a sacred moment of worship, a testimony to God’s faithfulness, and a visible reminder that the Lord is still building His church. As we now look ahead toward our first anniversary, we do so with thankful hearts, renewed vision, and joyful expectation for the amazing things God will continue to do.
Psalm 100:4 says, "Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name." That verse captures the spirit of our grand opening. On that day, we were not simply opening the doors of a building. We were stepping into a new season of ministry with praise on our lips and gratitude in our hearts.
Looking back on November 16, we can clearly see the hand of God. He provided. He guided. He opened doors. He sustained the vision. What happened that day was not merely the result of planning and preparation. It was the goodness of God on display. Every prayer, every sacrifice, every volunteer, every family, and every step of obedience became part of a larger testimony that the Lord is faithful.
That day also brought a deeper revelation about who we are called to be as a church. ShoutChurch is not called simply to gather people into a room. We are called to lift up the name of Jesus, teach the Word of God faithfully, love people sincerely, serve our community with gladness, and create a place where families can grow in faith and people can encounter the presence of God. The grand opening reminded us that this ministry belongs to the Lord, and because it belongs to Him, it carries eternal purpose.
As we move forward toward our first anniversary, we are not only remembering what God has done. We are looking ahead with faith for what He is about to do. Philippians 1:6 says, "He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." That promise gives us confidence. The grand opening was not the finish line. It was the beginning of a new chapter, and we believe the same God who brought us this far will continue to lead us into even greater works of grace.
We are believing God for amazing things through ShoutChurch. We are believing for lives to be transformed by the gospel, for families to be strengthened, for children to be discipled, for weary hearts to find hope, and for people across Sierra Vista to discover a real and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. We are believing for a church that is spiritually alive, deeply rooted in truth, rich in love, bold in witness, and faithful in prayer.
There is something beautiful about this season. We can celebrate what God has already done while also standing in awe of what still lies ahead. The journey from grand opening to first anniversary is not just a measure of time. It is a testimony of grace. It is a reminder that God is writing a story bigger than any one moment, and we are grateful to be part of it.
Closing Prayer
Lord, thank You for the grand opening of ShoutChurch. Thank You for every prayer You answered, every need You provided for, and every life You have already touched. As we move toward our first anniversary, fill our hearts with gratitude, humility, and holy expectation. Let ShoutChurch be a place where Your presence is known, Your Word is honored, and Your love is experienced. Continue to use this ministry to reach people, strengthen families, and shine the light of Christ throughout Sierra Vista. In Jesus’ name, amen.
