How do I talk about Jesus without treating someone like a project?

What the Bible Says?

"So, affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us." – 1 Thessalonians 2:8 NKJV

Three Things to Consider

  1. People can tell when they're a project.

  2. Share your life, not just a presentation.

  3. Love people whether or not they respond.

Short Answer

People can sense when they're a target instead of a friend. Paul showed a better way. He shared the gospel and his own life with the Thessalonians, because they had become dear to him. Evangelism isn't a transaction. It's love speaking the truth. Get to know people's stories, serve them in practical ways, and enjoy their company. Share Jesus because you care about them, not to check a box. And keep loving them whether they say yes or not. That's how Jesus treated people.
