How do I talk about faith without being weird?
What the Bible Says?
"Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one." – Colossians 4:5-6 NKJV
Three Things to Consider
Be a friend first.
Ask questions and listen.
Speak naturally, graciously, and honestly about Jesus.
Short Answer
Talk about Jesus the way you talk about anything you love: naturally. Start with genuine friendship. Ask good questions and really listen; most people rarely get heard. Look for natural openings, like a hardship, a big decision, or a question about life. Then share honestly and briefly what Jesus means to you. Paul says our speech should be gracious and "seasoned with salt," interesting and flavorful, not preachy or pushy. You don't need a script or a sales pitch. You need love, a listening ear, and courage.
