Does God care about me?

What the Bible Says?

"Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you." – 1 Peter 5:7 NKJV

Three Things to Consider

  1. God knows you personally.

  2. God's care is proven at the cross.

  3. God invites you to hand Him your burdens.

Short Answer

Yes, personally and specifically. Jesus said God knows the number of hairs on your head and watches over sparrows. You are worth far more to Him than they are. But the ultimate proof of God's care isn't a feeling. It's the cross. God sent His Son to die for you while you were still far from Him. That's how much you matter. So Peter tells us to throw every worry on Him, not because He tolerates us, but because He cares for us.
