Discernment Grows Where Surrender Lives
Romans 12:2 says that as we are transformed, we “prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Notice the order. Transformation leads to discernment. Many people want direction without surrender, but God’s will becomes clearer when Christ is preeminent because competing voices get quieter.
Anchors for Knowing God’s Wil
God will never lead you against Scripture. His Word is the boundary lines. His Spirit convicts, guides, and gives peace. His wisdom often comes through mature counsel, patience, and clarity over time.
Stop Asking for Clarity While Protecting Disobedience
If there is known sin or stubbornness, discernment will be cloudy. The fastest path to clarity is obedience. God is not playing hide-and-seek with His children. But He will not bless rebellion with guidance.
Prayer
Father, I want Your will more than my own. Renew my mind, align my desires, and lead me in Your ways. Amen.
Call to Action
Pray with honesty: “Lord, I will obey whatever You say.” Remove known sin. Seek wise counsel from mature believers. Then take the next right step you already know. Often the will of God is revealed one obedient step at a time.
