Why am I here?
What the Bible Says?
"So that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us." – Acts 17:27 NKJV
Three Things to Consider
You are not an accident; God placed you here.
You exist to know God and to seek Him.
Purpose is found in relationship with your Creator.
Short Answer
You're here because God put you here. Paul told the philosophers of Athens that God determined when and where each person would live, so that they would seek Him and find Him. Your life isn't a cosmic accident or a random collection of molecules. You were created by God, for God, to know Him, love Him, and reflect His glory in the world. Until we find Him, we're restless. When we find Him, everything else, including work, family, and talents, finally makes sense.
